This beautiful Gone With the Wind musical figurine collection is by San Francisco Music Box Company. Each figurine is between 6-7” tall and plays “Tara’s Theme.”

I actually used to collect GWTW memorabilia - I had plates, mugs, figurines, dolls, etc. They met with a hideous fate, however, during one of our many moves - I think their fate was sealed somewhere in the midwest. Smashed to smithereens. I try very hard not to think about how much $$$ was wrapped up in the collection.

That’s the ugliest side of moving around so much - inevitably things get broken, lost or stolen. We’ve bopped around the country quite a bit (Kentucky to Illinois to Kansas back to Kentucky to Iowa back to Kentucky to Indiana to Florida back to Kentucky..) - and, considering all the moving, we’ve lost very few things. The only problem was, they were MAJOR. The Gone with the Wind collection was lost when gravity took it’s toll on a stack of boxes. A piano was lost when the moving truck went one way and it went another. A television was stolen at a McDonald’s in Kansas, and a collection of china from Macy’s just disappeared. That one probably hurt the worst because two things I”m ALL ABOUT are my hubby and dishes - and these were the first dishes my hubby ever bought for me. By some miracle (packing by my guardian angel, I’m certain) I have a few cups from this collection, so at least they weren’t all lost.

As for the GWTW collection - I’ve always wanted to start over. I just love the beauty and strength of this movie - it’s a classic! Each character, each performance, each dramatic moment - it’s just about as good as classic Hollywood gets.

The musical figurines above are sold individually at FuntoCollect.com - they’re tempting me to start my collection all over. The first ones I’d get would be Prissy and Scarlett in the white. They’re two of my, all-time, favorite movie characters. We have a beautiful 18-year old cat named after Prissy and we had a much beloved beautiful German Shepherd named after Scarlett.

Scarlett and Prissy would then have to send for Rhett and the rest… I’m not sure if they have a Mammy or not, I’ll have to check. She was priceless! I might would order a Melanie, but I wouldn’t even bother with Ashley. Weak little whining, sniffling, spineless, pansy. Blech.

Click on each figurine to see a larger image, and forgive the Ashley hatred.
