Not only was Lucille Ball possibly the funniest female to ever live, she was also one of the most stylish. If you look at pictures of her out on the town (or around the studio, for that matter), she was always very well put together and sharp. Very sharp.
She brought this style to her infamous character Lucy Ricardo. No matter what she was getting into or out of, Lucy looked freakin’ amazing!
Twenty-five of these stylish outfit are featured in this 64 page paper doll book. Gorgeous Fifties housedresses, sequined evening sheaths, tapered slack sets, and smart tailored suits are reproduced in miniature – in full color and exact detail.
This book features two removable doll figures and twenty-five detailed cut-out outfits worn by the Lucy, herself. Each page contains one outfit, along with delicious TV trivia, the name of the episodes on which the outfit “co-starred” appeared, and a still photo from the show featuring Lucy in the outfit.
Amazing! I can’t wait to get my hands on this one. Since I collect Lucy memorabilia (everything from Hollywood’s golden age, actually) – I’ll leave my book whole, but I know I’ll be incredibly tempted to put little outfits on the little redheads!
Eh. Better get two….I don’t trust myself. I tend to wax ridiculous when I least need to.
Click the picture at the top, or the link below to take a closer look – and to see the other amazing things on their site. If I had all the money in the world, I’d call them up and simply say, “Yeah. One of everything.” Oh, except for the Lucy paperdolls. Make that one a double.
