Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio met after Joe had arranged for a dinner date through his agent. They dated for several years and, on January 14, 1954, they married at the City Hall in San Francisco.
Unfortunately, nine months later, on October 27, 1954, Marilyn and Joe divorced. Her fame and career got in the way and they had to settle for friendship.
