The subtle sexiness of the Sophia Lorens, James Deans, and Rita Hayworths of yesterday’s Hollywood are a far cry from the clumsy, blatant, and disgusting attempts of Britney, Paris, and Lindsay.
Beyonce and Jessica Simpson are two from this particular generation who seem to know a thing or two about class and tact. They stand out from the rest like diamonds in dust. I think Beyonce, in particular, is a classic throwback to the glamour and glitz of Hollywood’s golden age. You can’t even imagine her passing out drunk, having sex tapes, needing rehab, or “forgetting” to wear underwear. You could drive a truck between the gap between crass and class.
