When I first saw the movie (for the first time!), the ending left me kind of disappointed - I guess I'm a sucker for endings where everyone that I want to be happy IS happy. I wanted Batman to have a happier ending.

But, the second time I saw the movie, I realized that the ending was exactly how it needed to be. It stayed true to the movie and true to the characters.

I can't wait for it to come out on dvd. Hopefully it'll include the tribute to Heath Ledger. - Joi

The ending was perfect. I hope they don't bring back Two Face otherwise it will make the original ending meaningless.

I agree - I wanted a happier ending. Sadly, I knew one wouldn't exist for the Joker, but I wanted SOMEONE to get a happy ending!

Hopefully there will be another Batman movie, and the sooner the better. I'm pretty sure the success of this one will seal the deal. - Joi

Nice post. The movie was definately a piece of work! And dark it is. What's strange to me is leaving the theatre not feeling good. No happy ending! Yet that's what made this movie what it is. I hope there is another Batman movie where good clearly wins over evil and is not just the last one standing in a duel where there are no decisive winners!
