Fay Wray, The Vampire Bat Publicity Photo
The beautiful and talented Fay Wray is best remembered for her role as Ann Darrow in King Kong (1933), but she had a very impressive filmography. In fact, many of the other roles showcased her range and talent even better than King Kong.
One of her films I always get a kick out of is The Vampire Bat. It was released in 1933 (the same year King Kong was released), so, obviously, the scare factor isn’t high – however, it is entertaining and co-stars the wonderful Melvyn Douglas (a personal favorite).
The Vampire Bat (link goes to the dvd on Amazon – I was both shocked and delighted that they had it available!) is very-much worth seeing and Fay Wray is a star very-much worth seeing more of.
