Faye Dunaway
There are many things when it comes to Hollywood Yesterday (and my Hollywood Yesterday Twitter page) that I want to improve upon. One is spreading more love for old Hollywood and classic tv from the 70s and 80s. As I’ve often said, this period of time often gets lost in the frantic fandoms of silents, 30s and 40s Hollywood, 50s and 60s movies and television & modern era entertainment.
The fact that films and stars from the 70s and 80s were as entertaining as anyone makes if frustrating. They simply aren’t shown as often on television and have a more difficult time building a following. That’s why I, personally, want to do a better job of shining a spotlight on some of my favorite stars from this era (many who are still making movies!).
Faye Dunaway, Ann-Margret, James Garner, Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, Warren Beatty, Lindsay Wagner, Lee Majors, Eartha Kitt, Linda Carter.. the list goes on and on. One glorious star after the next.
While I do often tweet and blog about these stars, I plan to start doing so more often…. without (of course!) neglecting any of the others. Bette Davis wouldn’t stand for it!
Warren Beatty, Bonnie and Clyde
