Evelyn Ankers
Beautiful Evelyn Ankers was called the “Queen of the Screamers” due to her famous, bloodcurdling screams in “B” suspense thrillers of the 1940s. When not screaming, the lovely star was a very talented actress – one who, sadly, never quite found a breakout role or film.
Many times that is the main thing that separates an Evelyn Ankers from a Victoria Lake.
Evelyn was born in Chile to English parents in 1918. She was a staple for Universal’s horror films in the 1940s.
Evelyn’s films include:
- Hold that Ghost
- The Ghost of Frankenstein
- The Wolf Man
- Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror
- Son of Dracula
- The Mad Ghoul
- The Frozen Ghost
- Black Beauty
- The Pearl of Death (Sherlock Holmes)
