Angie Dickinson, Ronald Reagan, Lee Marvin, John Cassavetes, Claude Akins, Norman Fell, and Clu Gulager lead a very strong cast in the 1964 drama The Killers. Due to the popularity of the 1946 film-noir The Killers (Ava Gardner, Burt Lancaster), I always wish the powers that be had given this film a different name. Maybe it’d be more popular if it weren’t in the shadow of the other film.
While this film is a remake, it is told from a different viewpoint and has a very different atmosphere and tone. I love it and wish more people would see it.
